Twigg&hottie is Inspired by the Elements
Air, earth, water and fire…Vancouver’s climate has permeated
into the design of the Twigg&hottie label. But for spring 2007 the
shades of rainstorm grey and lush rainforest greens have been joined
by the burnt reds and desert sands of Africa.
Designer Glencora Twigg made a life changing trip to the
continent in the spring 2006 and discovered a new vision of
how to dress for the summer sunshine. The collection is flowing
and natural. The Capetown Dress has rolled edges and wrap
detail, the layered and biased cut Fibonacci skirt is paired
with a woven linen blazer, the Issey pant is beach perfect
with a wide cut leg and oversized pockets, and the Jaeger
Corset is cool and flattering with a wide strap and gathered
bust line. A respect for the rich landscapes of British Columbia
and Africa made Glencora continue to design with sustainable
materials such as soy, bamboo, wild silk and linen.

“I simply wanted to let the person shine through,”
says Glencora. “So my spring 2007 collection is meant
for 25-45 year old women who need great day to night pieces
that stand out but aren’t overbearing,”
The 10 piece Twigg&hottie collection is fashion forward with
a classic edge and will remain in your closet forever. These are the
pieces that are exciting to wear when new
but when you return to them for their effortless style, their forward
looking aesthetic
will have you getting compliments five years down the line.
Twigg&hottie ranges in price from $78 to $225 and is available
in Vancouver at Twigg&hottie (3671 Main St.), in Squamish, BC at
